"Everything I survived became my assignment. Everything I lost became my literacy. Everything I healed became my ministry. And everything I create is an invitation for others to rise."

The Journey

A life formed in fire, faith and surrender

The Beginning

A life that was never supposed to be ordinary

Dr. Angel Mbome was born into a world that did not make space for her voice. From childhood, she walked through valleys most never speak of — near-death encounters, sexual, physical and emotional abuse, displacement, betrayal, and the loneliness of rebuilding her life in a new nation.

Where trauma expected silence, she found her voice. Where pain expected collapse, she found purpose. Where brokenness expected burial, she found resurrection.

The Formation

Survival became her curriculum

Every wound became a word. Every season of loss became a lesson. Dr. Angel did not simply survive her story — she studied it, named it, and eventually turned it into language that others could use to find their own way through.

Her professional formation as a Doctor of Nursing Practice, board-certified in psychiatric mental health nursing (PMHNP-BC), gave her clinical language for what she had lived. But the formation that shaped her most was not academic — it was spiritual, relational, and deeply personal.

The Calling

When survival becomes a calling

There came a moment when Dr. Angel understood that her story was not hers to keep. The things she had survived, the healing she had walked through, the creativity that had carried her — all of it was meant to be placed into the hands of others.

She began to write. She began to speak. Over time, that calling took form through books, education, creative work, businesses and nonprofit initiatives designed to help others feel seen, find language and encounter meaningful support. The Vessel

She is not the source

Dr. Angel does not present herself as the source of transformation. She is clear: God is the Potter. She is a surrendered vessel. Everything she creates, teaches, writes and builds flows from that posture of surrender.

"I am not the source of the work. I am a vessel. El Roi remains the Potter at work." This is not a tagline. It is the theology that holds everything together.
